Thermal Energy Storage System Design

Ecostorage Sweden AB has three primary products and services: thermal energy transportation, free-cooling of buildings, and a compact (solar) hot water heater. In addition to these areas, more conventional consultancy type projects are accepted, and we also conduct R&D funded by e.g. the Swedish Energy Agency, the Swedish District Heating Association and EU.

Products and Services

Our ”Cool” product is a unit intended for providing free-cooling without the need of a extended duct system. A wall-hung unit (e.g. like a radiator) with flexible dimensions has been developed to store approximately 5 kWh of night-time cold for use during daytime. The flexible dimensions make it possible to place the cooler under a window-sill or in the roof.

Ecosaveit™ Cool

The ”Heat” product is a storage tank, primarily designed for solar hot water systems. This product weighs 150 kg, is about 130 liters in volume, and can store approximately 15 kWh of heat at 58 C and above.

Ecosaveit™ Heat

In collaboration with partners we develop, market and sell systems for transporting heat by truck, train or boat. Efficient transportation of thermal energy is an increasingly important part of a sustainable energy system. Such solutions have excellent potential of matching supply and demand in district energy systems.

Ecosaveit™ Transport Systems

The “Cold” is a tank, similar in construction like the “Heat” above, but filled with a material that make it suitable for comfort cooling applications.
